My little Owen at 3 weeks already! Time is already flying by...but I am enjoying every minute of it. His face is already filling out.
These photos are while he is laying on the Boppy that rests on my lap as I sit in front of my computer. What did mommies do before the Boppy?!! Being a nursing mom, I spend much of my time wearing him anyway, so this great invention really helps me continue to get work done while I sit.
Ok - so a photographer may go on "maternity leave", but that does not mean that she stops taking photographs! Please. Besides, how can a mommy resist taking pictures of her newest addition?! Forgive me; I cannot help myself. ~Jenn
Cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow For babies grow up, we've learned to our sorrow So quiet down, cobwebs Dust, go to sleep I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep. -Anonymous

If one feels the need of something grand, something infinite, something that makes one feel aware of God, one need not go far to find it. I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression of the eyes of a little baby when it wakes in the morning and coos or laughs because it sees the sun shining on its cradle. -Vincent Van Gogh
Love at First Sight
I have been waiting, some days impatiently, for the arrival of our 2nd son...waited 40 weeks to the day in fact. But just as the good Lord would have it in His perfect timing, our beautiful baby boy entered into the world on January 18th, making our lives that much more blessed.

STATS: 7.5 lbs 20 " long
The 2 photos above were taken by my oh so talented and sweet sister in law, who got the call from us at 5am to say we were on our way to the hospital. She made it just in time, because this little sweet baby of ours was out the shoot by 8:53am. ~ The bottom 5 photos were taken by our aspiring photographer eldest daughter. (I just had the fun of editing these this time!)
The other day I was thinking...hmmm, I better get to taking the pictures of this big'ol belly of mine before our son makes his big debut. We are at 38 weeks here.

As I get ready to pop out my own baby in a matter of days, I could not say no to one more photo shoot - why?! Because it was of a baby of course! Just wanted to share a montage I created of this little cutie pie.
How I do a Maternity Shoot: I will come to your home with my cameras, lighting, & background set up's. It is a very intimate and often very private event to get your belly photos taken and so I believe it is nicer to come into a family's home to do the photo shoot itself. Weather permitting, I also enjoy taking momma's outdoors for more unique and beautiful shots.
Many of the photos I take of individuals I would not share on my blog due to the intimate nature of these images, but I am of the belief that pregnancy should be celebrated and commemorated.
Being a woman myself and a mother of one (with one on the way), I understand how to, and really enjoy taking photos of this time in a woman's life. Whether you bare it all or cover up... or a little of both, your photo shoot is your own and we will work together to make it what you want it to be!
I had the most precious opportunity to be present for yet another baby delivery!
I had ring side seats to an amazing cesarean birth this week. Thank you to the doctors and nurses who allowed me such a privilege to do so! And a Thank you! to Brian and Betsy for this sincere gift of allowing me to document your amazing day!~xo~ Jenn
